Bruce I. Lerman, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S.
Medical Director, O’Connor Hospital Wound Care Clinic
“As a skier and hockey player in college, my passion became the biomechanics and function of the lower extremity. As an athlete, I was intrigued to learn that the way the foot contacts the ground is a key component for athletic performance and injury prevention. This concept applies to everyone from the professional athlete, to children taking their first steps, to even diabetic patients dealing with complex multiple comorbidities. Today, I love to put a patient on the treadmill and offer them suggestions to improve their gait.”
Bruce Lerman, D.P.M. and his associate podiatrists, offer comprehensive podiatry services. Over 20 years ago, Dr. Lerman was also a founder of the O’Connor Wound Care Center and currently serves as the medical director. The center is supported by a multidisciplinary team of 10 physicians and 20 nurses specializing in treating patients with complex wounds, who often also need assistance with diabetic treatments. For more information regarding the center, please call 408-947-2804.
